Paul Schottland
Hi, I am Paul Schottland. Smart Software Development motivates me.
Led product creation teams at Microsoft - I work for them for 11 years. I have a patent for Delta Replication, which is a core technology used in major MS products. I designed the lead feature (Inventory and Asset mgmt) for a 1+ Billion dollar product (SCCM/SCOM), I led the teams which created Fixit and shipped Windows Error Reporting fixes to 100M desktop users. Built the teams doing remote development and coding work in Thailand and India, and managed development and test groups in China. Also managed the Knowledge Management for Microsoft's intra and internet spaces via Sharepoint and webservices. Providing search and content for Support.Microsoft.com. This is globally available and multi-lingual as well as involving serving direct customers and partners. The product unit I manage is a multi-million dollar software development organization spread across 4 geographic regions. "Knowledge Management" is creating, finding, making, web-posted content for Microsoft's knowledge base and content articles- on the Sharepoint Product stack, in an Agile development methodology. I love building global teams which ship standardized, publicly-used services. I also have significant experience hiring and managing the global effort to devlier software, and the contract and negotiation associated to accomplish large enterprise-level work.
